For our next painting assignment we will be creating a Surrealist painting.  Surrealism can be defined as "irrational justaposition" or placing realistically rendered objects in a picture that would normally not belong together.  The paintings are similar to dreams.  This project will take some imagination and creativity.  See the examples in the powerpoint to the right for some inspiration.  Probably the two most famous Surrealists are Salvador Dali and Rene Magritte.
